Does the federal government have too tight a grip on the economy?

If the government would just back off and let people manage their own lives, I believe a lot of these problems would solve themselves. Big, corrupt government, trying to save us will only prolong this nasty recession! We can save ourselves by demanding government shrink in size and scope.
